Canadian Specialist Hospital is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Clinical Dietician (Diabetes & Nutrition Specialist) with a special focus on managing diabetic patients. The ideal candidate should have substantial local experience in the UAE healthcare system, hold a valid DHA License, and preferably be fluent in Arabic. The Clinical Dietician will be responsible for assessing patients’ nutritional needs, developing personalized diet plans, and providing education and guidance to help manage diabetes effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the dietary and nutritional needs of patients, with a special focus on individuals with diabetes.
  • Develop customized nutrition plans tailored to manage blood sugar levels, weight control, and overall health.
  • Provide expert advice on diet and lifestyle modifications to improve diabetic management and prevent complications.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress, adjusting nutrition plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on nutrition and the importance of adherence to dietary plans.
  • Stay updated on the latest research, dietary trends, and treatments related to diabetes management.
  • Ensure compliance with medical and health guidelines as per DHA regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
  • Valid DHA License to practice as a Clinical Dietician in Dubai.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of local experience, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Specialization in diabetic nutrition or significant experience managing diabetic patients.
  • Fluency in Arabic is highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex nutritional concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
